How to Apply for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) or Bachelor of Biomedicine (Honours) in 2012
Applications for Mid Year 2012 MDHS Honours are now open.
Please note that only the departments listed below will offer mid-year entry in 2012 -
- Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
- Oral Health Science

- BH-BMED - Bachelor of Biomedicine (Honours)
- BH-SCI - Bachelor of Science (Honours)
Mid-year applications must be submitted no later than Friday 06 July 2012 following the process below.
Please note that no applications for the Mid-Year 2012 intake will be accepted after that date.
STEP 1Decide which Department / Institute(s), Supervisor(s) and Project(s) you wish to apply forTo do this you must speak to potential supervisors. Department and Institute Honours project booklets and websites, the MDHS Honours Expo and individual information sessions held by departments and institutes are ways of helping you to make contact with potential Honours supervisors.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are interested in submitting preferences for projects in Genetics, Optometry and Vision Sciences, Veterinary Science or Zoology, please contact those departments directly.

STEP 2Lodge an online application by Friday 06 July 2012Applications for Honours are lodged to MDHS via one of the following processes: a) Current Local and International University of Melbourne applicants click here to apply online and select the “Returning Applicants, Current Students and Previous Students” option. b) Non-University of Melbourne applicants click here to apply online and select the “First Time Applicants” option.
All non- University of Melbourne applicants please note the following: Please provide an original or certified copy of your complete official Academic Transcript to the MDHS Student Centre as part of your application and ensure that you include your University of Melbourne applicant or student number : Attention - Honours Coordinator, MDHS Student Centre

STEP 3Mid-year 2012 applicants MUST lodge a hard copy ‘Mid Year Applications 2012 - Project Preference Form'You may select up to three (3) preferences for projects.
2. Offers will be made in late July 2012.
